PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a keyboard capable of setting multiple combinations of multi-media keys and multi-media functions to be allocated to them and the operability of which is improved. SOLUTION: This keyboard 1 is provided with a multi-media key 2 to enable direct operation of the multi-media functions in a host computer 3, a setting means to set a multi-media function table in which the multi-media function corresponding to the multi-media key 2 is defined corresponding to registration identifiers preliminarily registered in the host computer and a validating means to validate the multi-media functions defined in the multi-media function table corresponding to the registration identifier when the inputted identifier coincides with any of the registration identifies.
