PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radar transponder constituted so that a response radio wave can be received with high probability in a search radar. SOLUTION: This radar transponder, when receiving a radar radio wave transmitted from the search radar, generates a trigger signal in response thereto. The radar transponder further responds to only the first trigger signal to start the generation of sweeping signal (t1). The radar transponder continues the generation of sweeping signal until a stopping condition based on an external factor such as stop of power supply is satisfied. Accordingly, the probability of receiving the response radio wave in the search radar can be improved.
