摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device and a charging method to make it possible to simplify its structure by charging first and second batteries having different rated voltages simultaneously. SOLUTION: When the rotor of a generator driven by an engine is rotated inside a stator, a three-phase AC is generated in each of windings 60a, 60b of three phases with each phase electrically displaced by 2±/3. The first three- phase full-wave rectifier circuit 81 of a charger rectifies with full-wave the three-phase AC of a 48 V system and converts it into the DC of the 48 V system to charge a high-voltage battery 73 with a charging current J1 that corresponds to the DC voltage of the 48 V system (current controlling system). The second three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit S2 of the charger rectifies with full-wave the three-phase AC of a 12 V system and converts it into the DC of the 12 V system to charge a low-voltage battery 53 with a charging current J2 that corresponds to the DC voltage of the 12 V system (float charging system). Both the high-voltage battery 73 and the low-voltage battery 53 are charged simultaneously.
