PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reproduction together with recording data by securing the recording area of additional data in a reproduction exclusive area where recording data with a data structure being the same as that of a recording and reproducing area is recorded. SOLUTION: Compression data obtained by compressing input data by an ATRAC encoder 23, which is obtained by digitizing continuous signals, is made into a cluster, a cluster connecting sector being longer than an interleaving length is arranged in each cluster connection part, an interleaving processing is performed to record data in the recording and reproducing area of a magneto- optical disk 2 and, then, reproduction is performed by an optical head 3. Additional data is reproduced from a sector corresponding to the cluster connecting sector from the reproduction exclusive area of the magneto-optical disk 2.
