PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera equipped with a secondary cell which can reduce the cost of the memory effect countermeasure by simplifying sequence without using an exclusive discharging system. SOLUTION: The camera with a storage battery 11 as power supply source consists of a monitoring means (voltage detecting means 13 and a control means 14) for monitoring the state of the storage battery, a charging means for charging the storage battery with the energy received from a charger separately provided, a virtual loading means for forcibly discharging the storage battery and a selection means 14 for selectively making either the charging means or the virtual loading means operate in accordance with output of the monitor means when the camera is mounted on the charger. |
