PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having a function to improve the screen quality to form a film which contributes to the improvement in the color purity and contrast on the surface of a transparent substrate while preventing decrease in the resolution of an image and keeping enough screen quality. SOLUTION: The composition having a function to improve the screen quality contains (A) a tetra-azaporphine compound expressed by general formula (I), (B) a film forming polymer and (C) a phthalocyanine compound expressed by general formula (II). In general formula (I), M represents Si, Ge or Sn, each of two Ys independently represents a 6-18C aryloxyl group, 1-22C alkoxyl group or the like, and each of A1, A2, A3, A4 independently represents a specified aromatic ring. In general formula (II), M represents H2 or a metal, metal oxide or metal halide selected from Zn, Mn, Ti, Cu, Ni, Mg, Pb, Pd, V, Co, Mb, Al, Sn, In and Fe, and each of A5, A6, A7 and A8 independently represents a specified aromatic ring.
