PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the occurrence of a void on a transfer image at the trailing edge of transfer material. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a 1st transfer bias applying means 200 of a 1st transfer bias applying system for applying transfer bias causing such excessive control that transfer omission occurs due to recording paper 100 getting out of a resist roller 9 to a transfer roller 21 by feedback-controlling voltage or current, and a 2nd transfer bias applying means 300 of a 2nd transfer bias applying system which does not cause the transfer omission due to the paper 100 getting out of the roller 9. When the trailing edge of the paper 100 gets out of the roller 9, a transfer bias applying system for the roller 21 is switched from the 1st transfer bias applying system to the 2nd transfer bias applying system by an applying system switching means 400 in timing that the trailing edge of the paper 100 gets out of the roller 9.
