PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive forgery preventing device which can easily perform replacement of the dictionary data with a simple operation and by means of a simple circuit. SOLUTION: This device includes a nonvolatile memory 221, which stores the dictionary data showing the features of specific images of paper money, securities, etc., an image feature reading part 209 which reads the features of the image of an original from the original, a specific image identification part 210, which compares the feature data on the read original image with the dictionary data to decide their watching coincidence, a CPU 207 which adds a prescribed limit to the formation of images when the part 210 recognizes matching of its comparison and a memory card interface 207, which reads the feature data out of a memory card that stores the feature data different from those stored in the memory 211 and writes the feature data into the memory 211. |
