PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comparatively easily construct a converter where the camera, the housing and the rotary stand of a general ITV use except for a VISCA specification can be used by using the serial interface of an RS-232C reference protocol controlling a zoom lens/rotary stand incorporated-type camera through the use of a microprocessor chip incorporating ROM which can electrically be erased. SOLUTION: A camera control box 10 has a picture server 1, a serial/parallel converter 2 and a preset servo controller 3. The serial/parallel converter 2 protocol-converts a serial signal outputted from the picture sever 1 into a parallel signal being a contact control signal. The preset servo controller 3 controls an ITV camera device. A lens control signal 31 controlling a zoom lens 11, a wiper control signal 32 controlling the wiper 12, an illumination control signal 33 controlling illumination 13 and a rotary stand control signal 34 controlling the electric rotary stand 14 are outputted from the preset servo controller 3.
