摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser which is small-sized and can be adjusted for position at the time of assembling the laser and the characteristics of which are not deteriorated much by positional deviations which occur, when and after the laser is assembled. SOLUTION: This laser is provided with a semiconductor laser element 1, a luminous flux branching means 6 which branches the luminous flux emitted from the element 1 and reflected by an optical recording medium 5 into a plurality of luminous fluxes, and a luminous flux reflecting means 7 which reflects the luminous fluxes branched by means of the branching means 6. The laser is also provided with detecting sections 9 and 10, which detects the luminous fluxes reflected by the reflecting means 7. The branching means 6 and detecting sections 9 and 10 are formed on the same substrate 11.
