PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject combined filament yarn comprising at least two kinds of filament groups differing in dyeability from each other and having functionality including clear grain- or melange-toned appearance, dry feeling, lightweight feeling and water absorptivity. SOLUTION: This hetero-dyeable polyester combined filament yarn comprises at least two kinds of filament groups differing in dyeability from each other; wherein at least one of the filament groups consists of modified cross-section filaments with multifoliate sectional shape having >=3 recesses and a heteroform degree of 1.7-6.0. Use of this multicolor-dyeable blended filament yarn enables water absorptiviy and lightweight feeling as well as moire-toned appearance to be afforded.
