PURPOSE: A subsidiary apparatus for operating an earth leak breaker when there is an indication of a fire caused by overheating is provided which flows leakage current to an AC power supply when the surrounding temperature of a burner is suddenly increased or raised to a level above a reference temperature to operate the earth leak breaker. CONSTITUTION: A subsidiary apparatus for operating an earth leak breaker when there is an indication of a fire caused by overheating monitors the surrounding temperature of a gas or petroleum burner using electricity, for example, the inner temperature of a boiler room. When the temperature is sharply increased or raised to a level above a reference temperature, the apparatus grounds a power supply to a resistor with a relay to make the earth leak breaker cut off the power supply.
