PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifying function, while avoiding enlargement of size, in an air intake device for an outboard motor arranging a carburetor and an intake air-silencing case connected to the upstream end of this carburetor in one side of an engine block setting a cylinder axial line along the longitudinal direction of the outboard motor. SOLUTION: A first air passage 109 guiding air in a direction almost along a cylinder axial line also connecting the downstream end to a carburetor 74 and a second air passage 110, making an air circulating direction in at least the downstream end almost orthogonal to an air circulating direction in the first air passage 109 also opening the upstream end to the outside are formed in an intake silencing case 75, a cleaner element 112, arranged in a plane almost in parallel to the air circulating direction in the first air passage 109 to be interposed between the upstream end of the first air passage 109 and the downstream end of the second air passage 110, is stored fixedly in the intake silencing case 75. |
