PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic false-twist textured yarn having loose portions twist-set in such a converged state as to be free of non-cohesion of the filament yarn in subsequent processes to obtain such an acrylic textured-yarn in an energy-saving way, and to provide woven/knitted fabrics with varied surfaces having crisp feeling, dry feeling and firmness while retaining the characteristics inherent in acrylic filament yarns. SOLUTION: This acrylic false-twist textured yarn is such as to consist of acrylic multifilament, have loose portions in the longitudinal direction, wherein the undisaggregated portions have an average length of 5-20 mm, contain longer such portions each 25-100 mm in length and account for 30-50% of the whole of the yarn. The 2nd objective method for producing such a textured yarn comprises the following process: an acrylic filament yarn <=250 deg.C in the temperature giving a thermal stress of 0 cN/Y is put to false-twist texturing operation under the condition satisfying the relationship: T0-40 deg.C<=TF<245 deg.C (T0 is the temperature ( deg.C) giving a thermal stress of 0 cN/Y; and TF is false-twist texturing temperature ( deg.C)). The other objective woven/knitted fabrics using the above acrylic false-twist textured yarns are provided.
