PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device capable of improving the durability without generating a damage in a differential limiting device. SOLUTION: A bevel gear type differential device 1 is provided with taper rollers 25 radially arranged between taper surfaces of inner race surfaces 17a, 19a provided in the periphery of side gears 17, 19 and an outer race surface 3d provided in the inner wall surface of a differential case 3, and a regulating means 3f for regulating the movement of the taper roller 25. The taper rollers 25 limit the differential movement of the side gears 17, 19.
