PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool a passage wall formed integrally with an oil pan, while avoiding the size and weight thereof from increasing in an outboard engine formed, by disposing on the underside of an engine body, a case member having an oil pan opening upward and a passage wall forming an exhaust gas passage allowing exhaust gas to be circulated and extending in vertical direction formed integrally with each other. SOLUTION: A part of the outer wall of the case member 19 is formed of the passage wall 132, and a recessed part 137 provided in the outer wall of the case member 19 with a part of the passage wall 132 facing thereon is covered with a plate member 138 fixed to the outer wall of the case member 19. A cooling water passage 139, allowing cooling water to flow therethrough, is formed between the plate member 138 and the recessed part 137.
