摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a scram detection coil to attain the rationalization with high reliability at a low cost. SOLUTION: This control rod driving mechanism comprises a drive part housing 8 raised on a rotating plug 7 for blocking the upper end opening of a reactor vessel, an upper guide pipe 21 connected to the lower surface of the drive part housing 8, the upper guide pipe 21 being extended through the rotating plug 7 so that the lower end is opposed to a lower guide pipe 29 within the reactor core, and a control rod 4 vertically moved by a drive shaft 10 provided within the drive part housing 8, so that the control rod 4 and the drive shaft 10 integrally fall and inserted into the lower guide pipe 29 in the event of a scram. In this mechanism, a load detector 27 as a vibration detecting system is mounted on the lower part of a ball nut 15 within the drive part housing 8.
