PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming an image of high quality without a deviation for a long period of time by making slow the degradation of cleaning capacity of a cleaning member for cleaning a mark for positioning provided on an intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: Each color toner image obtained from a latent image on a photosensitive drum by image developing processing by each color toner is positioned on the same surface on an intermediate transfer belt, is superposed successively and transferred, and the toner image is transferred in bloc to a transfer material. In the positioning, a brush roller 903 for cleaning the mark obtains rotary driving force from a belt drive roller 508 for spreading an intermediate transfer belt through a driven roller 902. Therefore, a contact part in contact with the mark in the brush roller changes with time, and the degradation of cleaning capacity by hair failure or the like is reduced. As a result, a mark stain by toner or the like can be prevented for a long period of time, the detection accuracy of a sensor can be maintained, and each color toner image can be stably primarily transferred on the same surface.
