PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolated structure for a rigid frame bridge, which exerts sufficiently large base isolation effect even if the rigid frame bridge has a bridge pier with a large height dimension. SOLUTION: The base isolated structure for the rigid frame bridge includes at least one bridge pier (14) which is controlled such that rigid connection to a footing (12) or a bridge girder (16) of the rigid frame bridge is not disconnected or horizontal relative movement is not generated. A plate-like elastic body (24) is interposed between the bridge pier and the footing or bridge girder. Alternatively, a plurality of holes (34) which have upper ends thereof opened are formed in the footing and at the same time a pair of blocks (30) are arranged in each hole. In the latter case, spring members (32) are arranged between both the blocks. |
