The present invention is an apparatus designed to remove of dissolved gas es from liquids. More specically the present invention has a medical applicatio n for removing unwanted dissolved gases from a patient's blood. The present invention removes the dissolved gases by isolating the patient's blood in a chamber an d then forcing the chamber to expand. The process of forced expansion of the chambe r allows the gas molecules dissolved in the blood to attain enough entropy to change to a gaseous state. One application is the present invention can be used by doctors to remov ed dissolved nitrogen from the blood of a patient afflicted with the bends. Thi s maybe used with a hyperbaric chamber or on the present invention maybe used on it's own. The bends tend to accumulate in the spine, exterior fat and joints of scu ba divers afflicted with the bends. The present invention has the advantage ove r a hyperbaric chamber, in that unlike the hyperbaric chamber, the present invention can be site specific.
