Transdermal therapeutic system for prolonged release of drugs, e.g. steroid hormones, including reservoir providing slow release of perfume to improve patient compliance

In a transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) comprising a water-impermeable backing layer, a layer containing an active agent (A) and a reservoir layer, the reservoir layer is suitable for the uptake and time-delayed release of perfumes (I). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for improving the compliance of patients receiving at least 24 hour delivery of a drug (A) from a TTS (specifically as part of a therapeutic scheme), by including a perfume-containing reservoir as above in the TTS; and (2) compliance improving apparatus corresponding to method (a), consisting of the TTS with the perfume-containing reservoir.
