Optical add-drop-multiplexer

The add-drop-multiplexer comprises a group filter which divides the incoming WDM signal into several channel groups of adjacent WDM channels. Each channel group is fed to a module for reconfiguration. A first module type enables a manual configuration of add-drop channels and through-connected WDM channels, while a second module type enables a remote configuration.
