The folding system (3) contains two flaps (4,6), flap (4) controlled directly off drive (8) to pivot round hinge (5) in fixed position. Flap (6) is hinged via sprung hinge (7) to one end of the first flap (4) and so pivots against the hinge spring relative flap (4) on one of the moved parts (10) of the linkage. The two hinges (5,7) are on opposite parts of the first flap (4). A further flap is hinged with a weaker spring to one end of the second flap (6). Additional components include the vehicle sidewall (1) and hood opening (2).
