A continuous plastic strand is extruded. The strand is so deformed, that strand sections (15) are produced, which are offset from the strand reference plane. Strands are separated into individual honeycomb webs of predetermined length. They are laid and bonded together at the strand sections which are offset from the strand reference plane (15). An Independent claim is included for the corresponding plastic honeycomb (1). A further claim is made for the corresponding method of production. Also claimed is the manufacturing plant. Further variants are also claimed. Preferred features: A variant of the process, based on the foregoing principles is described. In an additional stage, the strands bonded to form the honeycomb are separated transversely, with respect to their length. Together with, before or after deformation of the extruded strand, removal of material is effected. This is by stamping. The deformation is effected by a press tool. Deformation produces a round wavy-, rectangular- or trapezoidal corrugation.
