PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which can surely prevent the occurrence of erroneous writing and erroneous reading out by the influence of dust, dirt, etc., sticking to a recording medium and head by surely blowing out the dust, dirt, etc., by blowing gas from two directions. SOLUTION: The dust, dirt, etc., sticking to the disk 11 and the pickup head 12 are blown by the air blown out of the blow-off ports of a first blow-off pipe 13 and second blow-off pipe 14 arranged to face each other with the pickup head 12 in-between. The first blow-off pipe 13 and the second blow-off pipe 14 are constituted to alternately blow off the air and therefore the simultaneous blowing off of the air from both directions to the disk 11 does not occur. Accordingly, the problem that the dust, dirt, etc., stuck thus far on the disk 11 surface remain without being blown off does not occur either.
