PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate measurement at a fixed depth. SOLUTION: This measuring device 2 is provided with a bar 6 erectly inserted into the bottom section 4 of the waters 3 at the lower end and protruded on the water surface 5 at the upper end, upper and lower annular members 7A, 7B inserted with the bar 6 at a play and connected together via wires 8, 8 having the prescribed length, floats 10 connected to the upper annular member 7A via wires or cords 9, a storage case 12 connected to the lower annular member 7B via a wire or a cord 11, and a temperature sensor 13 stored in the storage case 12 and having a built-in logger recording the measured data with the elapse of time. The wires 8 are determined in length according to the predetermined depth D1 to be measured. The annular members 7A, 7B invariably follow the water surface and keep the fixed distance from the water surface, and the temperature sensor 13 is invariably held at the fixed depth D1 from the water surface.
