A plant for processing brewery water avoids a surplus of dissolved calcium hydroxide by regulating the addition of chalk water to the raw water. A water main pipe is attached together with a side pipe to the raw water supply. The side pipe is connected with a chalk water dosing device, a hydrochloric acid dosing device and a sulphuric acid dosing device. At the site before the side pipe merges with the main pipe, a reaction vessel ensures a slow counter flow.
