<p>Methods and compositions for inhibiting late-onset, irinotecan-induced diarrhea are disclosed. The methods include administering effective amounts of glutamine in association with irinotecan. Examples of the invention are disclosed in which oral glutamine was effective to inhibit diarrhea when administered at a rate of three 10-gram doses per day for two or three days after administration of irinotecan.</p> |
