The invention relates to a multi-socket wrench (1) comprising a tubular body (10) having a set of nesting individual sockets (15-18) at each end of the body (10). The body (10) has end portions (11) within which each set of sockets (15-18) is mounted with a hollow central portion (12) between the end portions. Each adjacent pair of nesting sockets (15-18) in a set of sockets comprises an inner socket and an outer socket, the inner socket being movable axially inwardly relative to the outer socket into the central portion (12) of the body (10) to expose said outer socket for use. Locking means (20-32) is provided for selectively locking each individual socket (15-18) on the body (10) so it can be held fast ready for use. To use a selected socket (15-18), it is locked on the body (10) whilst any other sockets in the set nested within said selected socket are free to move inwardly to allow the selected socket to receive the head of a nut or bolt with which it is to be engaged. A wide range of socket sizes can be accomodate on themulti-socket wrench (1).
