PURPOSE: A water meter for preventing freeze-burst is provided to prevent a thermal deformation of an inspection member due to generation of heat of a heating wire by minimizing heat transferred from the heating wire to a water meter body and reduce thermal consumption by directly contacting heat generated from the heating wire to water. CONSTITUTION: A water meter for preventing freeze-burst includes a water meter body(10), an inspection member(20) and a heating member(40). The water meter body has a water inlet(13) and a water outlet(15), a containing part communicating with the water inlet and the water outlet, and a gate member mounted on the water outlet for preventing counterflow of water. The water meter body further has an induction hole(14) formed at the water inlet for inserting the heating member and blocking the water inlet from the outside, and a fetch hole formed at the water outlet for fetching the heating member to the water outlet. The inspection member inspects flow rate of water flowing to the water outlet. The heating member is induced to the water inlet for heating water in a prescribed temperature and fetched to the water outlet.
