PURPOSE: A cathode of a magnetron is provided to reduce an oscillating stabilization time of a magnetron, the number of components, and fabricating costs by heating a cathode, directly. CONSTITUTION: An upper end of the cathode(101) is fixed to an upper end shield(102). A lower end of the cathode(101) is fixed to a lower end shield(103). A center lead(104) is used for applying an external electric power to the cathode(101). The center lead(104) is connected with the upper end shield(102) through the lower end shield(103) and an inside of the cathode(101). A side lead(105) is used for applying the external electric power to the cathode(101). The side lead(105) is fixed to a lower side of the lower end shield(103). A multitude of slots(106) are formed in the cathode(101). A multitude of strip(107) is formed between an upper portion and a lower portion of the cathode(101). A multitude of legs(108) are formed at both sides of the slots(106).
