An oriented polyester film comprising a basic layer i.e. a thermoplastic polyester and a matt layer, intermediate layers, a UV absorber and a fire prevention agent. The matt layer is a mixture or blend of two components I and II. Component I is a polyethylene terephthalate homopolymer, a polyethylene terephthalate copolymer, and component II is a polymer having at least one sulfonate group. An oriented polyester film comprises a basic layer (B), i.e. a thermoplastic polyester and at least one matt layer, optionally further intermediate layers, at least one UV absorber and at least one fire prevention agent, where the matt layer is a mixture or blend of two components I and II, where component I is a polyethylene terephthalate homopolymer (PTH), a polyethylene terephthalate copolymer (PTC), or a mixture of PTH and PTC, and component II is a polymer having at least one sulfonate group. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of the polyester film involving coextrusion of the starting materials for the preparation of the basic, top and intermediate layers through one or more extruders or a multilayer extruder (sic), biaxial stretching, thermofixing and optional coating of the film obtained; (2) preparation of a shaped body using the polyester film (claimed).
