PURPOSE: A gas oven for controlling combustion amount is provided to control gas supplied to a burner through detecting weight of food to be cooked. CONSTITUTION: A gas oven is formed by a weight sensor(11) installed at one side in an oven at a lower side of a grate(18); an information processor(12) receiving a weight signal for processing the signal; a gas adjusting valve(15) controlling combustion amount of the gas oven; a manipulating switch(13) for an operator to select and input a command; an information display unit(14) for displaying cooking information; an alarm generating unit(16) generating an alarm; and an outer communication port(17) for inputting a cooking command from outside. In case of placing food to be cooked on the grate of the gas oven, the weight sensor measures the weight of the food. Then, a measured value is inputted to the information processor. In case of the operator inputting the cooking command through the manipulating switch, the information processor decides an initial combustion amount for controlling the gas adjusting valve according to an established program.
