SYSTEM FOR INPUTTING CHINESE CHARACTER USING ROOT OF CHINESE CHARACTER

PURPOSE: A system for inputting a Chinese character using a root of the Chinese character is provided to reduce the load of an input system and the waiting time for inputting, and to enable a user to easily input a Chinese character in case that the user accurately couldn't memorize and input a Chinese character. CONSTITUTION: Coding information on a root of Chinese character and frequency ranking information are stored in a root of Chinese character database according to a plurality of basic figures. The coding information coded, information on roots of Chinese character, partial coding information and frequency ranking information are stored in a Chinese character database. A key for a root of Chinese character enables a user to refer to and select a root of Chinese character. A direction key can move a cursor displayed on a root of Chinese character group or a Chinese character group. A selection key enables the user to select a root of Chinese character or a Chinese character in which the cursor is located.
