PURPOSE: A device and a method for notifying a commemoration date by linking the Internet with a communication network are provided to automatically notify commemoration date through a communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user(information provider)(1) provides data with respect to one's memorial days and designated days to a server(2). The server(2) manages the inputted information and calculates the information automatically and provides information informing an approaching to the designated day to the user through various communication units through a communication company(3) before a specific date or a specific time.
