PURPOSE: A cooking utensil in the structure capable of receiving overflown water when cooking is provided to prevent cooking instruments or a gas burner range from becoming dirty due to the water or various soup overflown by the heating of food by receiving the overflown water or soup in a water receiving part formed outside a cooking utensil. CONSTITUTION: A cooking utensil in the structure capable of receiving overflown water when cooking includes a water receiving tray part formed with a U-shaped section outside an upper periphery of a utensil, wherein the water receiving tray part has an inner wall integrated with an outer wall of the utensil with a same height, and an outer wall of a height higher than the inner wall. A lid(29) of the water receiving tray part is screw-coupled with a lid of the utensil and a knob(28) is coupled in the center of the lid by a bolt.
