PURPOSE: To solve problems of a color layer being in danger of deterioration such as discoloration induced by activation of oxygen molecules arriving at the color layer caused by excitation energy of the external ultraviolet rays leading to decomposition of pigments such as organic ones used in the color layer when a resin film layer with a role as an overcoat is exposed to a liquid crystal layer, and by dissolved activated oxygen in the resin film layer itself in the case of a structure in which the resin film layer is held between the color layer and TiO2 on the upper side of the color layer. CONSTITUTION: In the case of forming TiO2 having shielding effect on ultraviolet rays only on the upper layer, the upper side of the color filter is directly coated with TiO2. Furthermore, in the case of arranging TiO2 also on the lower layer to make the discoloration preventing effect perfect, TiO2 3D is laid out on the lower layer side in addition to the direct coating of the upper side of the color filter with TiO2 3U. Thereby invasion of light with a wavelength region in the ultraviolet part into the color layer 6 is suppressed and inflow of oxygen into the color layer from the upper side of the color layer 6 is also blocked so as to obtain the discoloration preventing effect by autooxidation reaction preventing effect.
