PURPOSE: An apparatus for irrigating the colon is provided to be applied to the operation of an acute colonic obstruction patient, and to reduce the danger of wound infection. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for irrigating the colon is comprised of a cylindrical hollow shaped body to be inserted into an incision part of an intestinal canal, a branch tube projected from the one side of the body with communicating the interior of the body for selectively receiving an irrigation tube or an endoscope, a fastening device mounted on the tip end of the body to fasten the body to the incision part of the intestinal canal, and an anti-back flow member mounted in the branch tube to prevent the content contained in the intestinal canal from flowing backward through the branch tube.
