PURPOSE: To provide a semiconductor memory which can perform stable read- out operation. CONSTITUTION: In an SDRAM, a selector 24c selects any one pair of global IO line out of four pairs of global IO lines GIOL0, /GIO0-GIOL3, /GIOL3 conforming to column block selecting signal CBS0-CBS3 and word formation selecting signals Mx4, Mx48, and the pair of global IO line is connected pulsatively to a pair of input/output node N31, N32 of a pre-amplifier 25c for the prescribed time. Therefore, an equalizing time of a pair of global IO line can be made longer, read-out operation can be stabilized.
