PURPOSE: A system for supporting a studying in a reading room is provided to make users of a reading room use learning information freely through the premises network of the reading room. CONSTITUTION: A program database(110) stores a plurality of learning supporting programs capable of being executed in a computer. A communication unit(120) transmits the programs. A service providing server(100) comprises the program database(110) and the communication unit(120). A communication unit(210) receives the learning supporting programs from the service providing server(100). A learning supporting program managing unit(220) controls the received learning supporting programs for making the learning supporting programs be executed through the premises network. An external connection unit(230) monitors an exterior network connection of a client computer. If a client tries for connecting to an external network, the external connection unit(230) searches a registry, and decides an access or a denial of the connection of the external network in accordance with the setting right of the corresponding client. A plurality of local servers(200) comprises the communication unit(210), the learning supporting program managing unit(220) and the external connection unit(230).
