PURPOSE: A tap water pipe fitting and a method for manufacturing the same are provided which reduces costs utmost and is applied to easily piping work by angularly forming the inner diameter of the fitting in a rectangular or octagonal shape so that an angular shaped wrench can be coupled to the diameter, and removing hexagonal screw part fixing the fitting to the center part of the outer diameter of the fitting. CONSTITUTION: In a fitting at the central part of which a hexagonal fixing part is formed, from both sides of which screw parts formed connecting parts are projected, and at the inner diameter of which a circular penetrating hole is formed, the tap water pipe fitting comprises an inner diameter (2) of a fitting body (1), wherein the inner diameter (2) is angularly formed so as to be fixed by a wrench; a screw part (3) formed on the outer diameter of the fitting body (1) so that a length of portion to be connected to the pipe is shortly formed; and a rubber packing (4) connected to the outer diameter of the screw part (3). The method for manufacturing the tap water pipe fitting comprises the steps of angularly forming the inner diameter thereof in a hexagonal or octagonal shape after boring the inner diameter of a circular shaped pipe; fixing the fitting body using a wrench having an angular shaped inner diameter, and forming the screw part on both sides of the fitting respectively so that the screw part formed protrusion is shortly formed on one side of the fitting; and forming a connecting hole so that a pipe is connected to the side surface of the other side of projected part.
