PURPOSE: A file storing a method capable of displaying character information on a screen according to reproducing section in reproducing a music file is provided to display character information on a screen by dividing a music file and extracting time information according to each section in accordance with total reproducing time of the music file and inserting a character or a character string to each section of the music file by using a XML(extensible markup language). CONSTITUTION: A music file(MP3, WMA, etc.) is constituted as a XML form by extracting total reproducing time of the music file. The music file is divided into many sections in accordance with total reproducing time of the music file by an editing of a user, and the order of each section, a starting time, and closing time are extracted, and receives a character or a character string to be displayed on a screen of each section, and each section is re-constituted as a XML form. Information of a genre, comments, the issuing year, an album name, a singer, a title, and a composer is constituted as a XML form.
