Adjustable strap for use in a snowboard boot and binding system

An adjustable (32) binding strap (12), for use in a soft boot snowboard binding (10), and having a first (18) and a second (28) strap piece. The binding strap preferably comprises a unitary binding member (16) which has an ankle section (18) connected to a toe section (22) by a midsection (20), and preferably has a relatively large surface so as to reduce pressure points and spread pressure over a correspondingly large area of the foot of the user. The second strap piece (28) has an end that is inserted through a portion (33) of the first strap piece (18).
