PURPOSE: To provide an engine cooling air passage for construction machine capable of reducing the release of noise from a cooling air discharge port while reducing a back pressure of cooling air and miniaturizing an engine room. CONSTITUTION: A fan air distribution passage 53 whose one end side is positioned in the vicinity of an outer peripheral part of a diffuser of a cooling fan 16 and has fan air separation openings 53a, 53g surrounding blown out cooling air and whose the other end aide is positioned in the vicinity of right and left end parts of counterweights 3, 3a, 61, 61a and has an opening part 53b discharging the cooling air is formed in front or ahead of the counterweights 3, 3a, 61, 61a. Fan air separation ducts 54, 55, 73, 74, 75 whose one end side is positioned in the vicinity of the outer peripheral part of the fan diffuser and has fan air separation openings 54a, 55a, 73a, 74a, 75a taking cooling air in and whose the other end side has discharge opening parts 54b, 55b, 73b, 74b, 75b may be provided on the side and/or in an upper part of an engine 13.
