PURPOSE: A method and device for peeling and removing a shielding cover of a cable are provided to improve the process to peel and remove the shielding cover of a cable. CONSTITUTION: In the method for peeling and removing a shielding cover of a cable, the insulating cover at the end of the cable is peeled to expose a shielding portion covering a conductor. The shielding portion is compressed in the axial direction to deform the exposed shielding portion in the doughnut shape which is higher than the external diameter of the insulation cover. At least, one of the cutting devices(20,20') to cut out the annular cross-section of an annual mound is movable and is arranged at almost the right angle to the axis of the cable. |
