PURPOSE: A self-closing valve for a shower is provided to stop shower operation at any time in using the self-closing type shower, thereby preventing waste of water. CONSTITUTION: A self-closing valve for a shower includes a main body(10) of the self-closing valve having a connecting port(11) connected to a water pipe and a discharge port(12) connected to the shower formed at the upper and lower sides or the right and left sides; a piston valve slidably embedded in a valve chamber of the main body for closing a valve seat of the valve chamber and maintaining the closed state; a quantitative switch valve installed inside the piston valve; a push button(40) installed at a front of the main body for operating the quantitative switch valve, thereby discharging water filled in an upper space of the valve chamber for moving the piston valve closing the valve seat to the upper space and again filling the upper space with water through an orifice formed at the piston valve to be gradually returned by water pressure; a passage connected between the lower part of the valve chamber and the upper space; and an interruption valve(60) installed at the passage for supplying water of the lower part of the valve chamber to the upper space to promptly perform return operation of the piston valve.
