PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display with changeable scanning mode is provided to realize a double-speed scanning mode as well as a general scanning mode in an integrated system through a horizontal driving circuit employing a scanning mode selection part. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display in which scanning manner is changeable includes a horizontal driving circuit for driving horizontal lines of a pixel array(10) in sequence, wherein the horizontal driving circuit includes a shift register(21) for outputting a pulse in sequence, a buffer(22) to output the pulse to the pixel array after temporarily storing the pulse for reducing the distortion of the pulse. and a mode selection part(23) positioned between the shift register and the buffer for controlling a number of output scanning lines according to control signals(IN1-IN3) to select a double-speed scanning mode or a general scanning mode.
