TURNOVER-SEQUENCER STAGING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A turnover-sequencer staging apparatus and method for turning over, substantially orthogonally re-routing, and simultaneously merging parallel side-by-side conveyed sheets into seriatim-conveyed form. Prior art turnover - sequencer staging devices are relatively complicated and expensive. The relatively simple construction of the turnover-sequencer staging apparatus o f the invention overcomes these disadvantages. The invention includes a receiv er (10) for receiving at least two side-by-side sheets (18, 20); a turnover- sequencer (12, 14) comprising turnover tubes (16, 17) for turning over and orthogonally redirecting the sheets in imbricated form; and a de-imbricating device (22).
