PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for holding the end of a seat cover for vehicles, which retainer is excellent in mounting workability and does not make noise in use. SOLUTION: A retainer body 1 having a substantially L-shaped cross section comprises a stitch-on portion 1a suspended from the middle surface of the bottom portion thereof for sewing the end of a cover 20 thereto and a hook 1b for holding a flange 11 at the free end of the bottom portion. The retainer body 1 further comprises a presser piece 1c for applying a pressure onto a frame 10 at the time of holding such that it extends from the upper end of the rising portion thereof.
