AUTOMATIC CRUISE CONTROLLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in a driving feeling because of an unexpected acceleration feeling imparted to a driver depending on a driving condition because an auxiliary brake operated until that time is also released even when a foot brake is actuated slightly during automatic cruise travel under the automatic cruise control automatically operating the auxiliary brake for keeping a vehicle speed constant if the vehicle speed is increased. SOLUTION: If automatic cruise control is stopped while the auxiliary brake is continuously operated automatically, the auxiliary brake is released only when a driver turns off an auxiliary brake operating lever or a vehicle speed is lowered below an automatic cruise set speed. That is, the auxiliary brake is not released when the driver actuates the foot brake and then releases it.
